I think that Francis would absolutely use social media. Especially things like Facebook or twitter. Francis seemed to be a person that lived in the right here and now. He seemed to live life to the fullest and had many adventures. This leads me to believe that like many other adventurous teens, he would want to stay in contact with people through the social media.
