Well It is day 7 of the class and I have totally forgotten over the last few days about blogging so I apologize sincerely.
My business has been a complete fiasco.
I originally started a business doing gun smithing in the Sioux City area and It was extremely successful. I actually was starting this FOR REAL. I posted an ad on the sporting section of Craigslist.com and Armslist.com and had over 20 customers lined up within 3 days. I was ecstatic!
During class I would even be talking to customers over email about future jobs that they had for me.
By the second day of the class I had two Mosin Nagant Rifles and one Remington 870 shotgun at my house that I was working on and would earn about 230 dollars with. Unfortunately, the next day I received an anonymous tip from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives that what I was doing was highly illegal because one, I am under the age of 21 and am not legally allowed to keep other peoples firearm at my residence for over 24 hours unsupervised, and two, I do not have a Federal Firearms License (type 2, Gun smithing).
Needless to say, I had to return all of the firearms I had worked on for two days and give their money back because I was afraid of getting in any kind of trouble. I also had to decline the 50 dollars that Ms. Thompson had offered me two days prior.
I shut down all of my Gun smithing advertisements online and quit the business all together.
This was a failure on my part however I did learn a valuable lesson. I guess you could call it a success in a small way.
On a different note, my team has begun its book buyback business and it has been very successful and will ultimately be a great project in the end.
I apologize again about missing my last few days of blogging, I have been extremely busy with track, the Marine Corps, and school.
